LIVE OAK, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee man has been arrested for attempted murder in connection to a shooting in Live Oak .

The Live Oak Police Department says they responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue on Monday.

During the incident, it was reported that a vehicle described as a red Charger and a second vehicle described as a gray Chevrolet Impala were seen approaching a home on Lincoln Avenue.

A possible identity of one of the men was developed but could not confirmed until the victim was interviewed. Police say the condition of the victim delayed the interview.

As the Live Oak Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement continued investigating, they eventually identified the shooting suspect as Cleveland Jason McNair, 34, of Tallahassee.

Live Oak Police says they teamed up with the Tallahassee Police Department to find and apprehend McNair.

Thursday morning, Tallahassee Police spotted McNair while he was driving a gray Chevrolet vehicle. He was arrested and taken into custody without incident.

McNair has been charged with one count of attempted first degree homicide as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
